It is our goal to ensure that every student receives the necessary care, intervention, and guidance to navigate their challenges and thrive in school.
To support this, our Counselling and Support Services provide the following:
Counselling & Learning Support Policy
1. Counselling Services
Objective: To provide emotional and psychological support for students.
What to Expect:
- Referral – Students, teachers, or parents may request counselling.
- Assessment – The counsellor evaluates the student's needs.
- Sessions – Individual or group counselling is provided as needed.
- Parent Involvement – Updates may be shared when appropriate.
- Confidentiality – All sessions are kept private unless safety is a concern.
2. Parental Support & Consultation
Objective: To guide parents in supporting their child's emotional well-being by connecting them to qualified external professionals when needed.
What to Expect:
- Request Consultation – Parents can seek professional advice.
- Expert Panel – Access to professionals for guidance.
- Recommendations – Strategies provided for home support.
- Follow-ups – Progress monitoring and additional support if needed.
3. Learning Support (SEN)
Objective: To provide tailored learning strategies for students with special needs.
What to Expect:
- Referral – Teachers or parents may request learning support.
- Learning Assessment – Personalized support plans created.
- Implementation – Targeted sessions begin according to the student's needs.
- Progress Monitoring – Student development is reviewed regularly.
- Collaboration – Ongoing communication with parents & teachers.
4. Emotional Well-being Monitoring
Objective: To track and support students' emotional health.
What to Expect:
- Regular Check-ins – Teachers and counsellors regularly observe and engage with students.
- Early Intervention – Immediate support when needed.
- Parental Updates – Regular emotional progress reports.
- Crisis Support – Urgent intervention if required.
