Meal Plan Policy

1. Introduction

This policy outlines the meal plan structure, responsibilities, and procedures for zera International School to ensure a smooth and efficient meal service for students and staff.

2. Meal Plan Structure

Students and staff have the option to select their meal preferences, which include Breakfast, Lunch, or Both. The meal options are fully customisable based on individual preferences.

  1. Vegetarian meals may consist of eggs, garlic, and shallots.
  2. A Google Form will be sent out via WhatsApp Community to collect meal preferences for up to three weeks.
  3. The order due date will be shown on the meal order announcement along with the link to the Google Form.
  4. Meal Plan Invoicing: The meal plan is invoiced monthly based on the school calendar's operating days.
  5. Changes to the Meal Plan: Any changes to the meal plan must be communicated at least three (3) working days in advance. This includes holiday planning, schedule adjustments, or any modifications to meal preferences.
  6. Absences: If a student is absent, the meal will still be invoiced as part of the monthly billing cycle.

3. Food Safety and Accountability

  1. In case of food poisoning occurring within three (3) hours of consumption, the vendor shall bear responsibility only if it is determined that the food provided was the cause.
  2. The vendor must adhere to food hygiene regulations and ensure proper food handling and storage.
  3. Complaints regarding food quality must be reported immediately to the administration for assessment and necessary action.

4. Personal Food Policy

  1. No Business Activities: Parents and guardians are not permitted to conduct any business within the school grounds. This includes selling or providing food to students other than their own child.
  2. Personal Provision of Food: If parents wish to provide food for their child, it must be done directly and exclusively for them. Sharing or distributing food to other students is strictly prohibited. Parents are required to deliver the food to the school and place it on the designated table between 12:00 PM and 12:40 PM. Entering the campus during class hours without permission is not allowed.
