FAQs

Find answers to your most common questions about our admissions process.

What curriculum does ZERA follow?

We follow the Cambridge International curriculum from Year 1 to Year 11 (ages 5–16) — Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary (IGCSE) — delivered with personalised support and small classes of fewer than 25 students.

Is ZERA an accredited Cambridge school?

Yes. ZERA is a registered Cambridge International School and authorised Cambridge exam centre (Centre No. MY486) — approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education to teach the Cambridge curriculum and to run IGCSE examinations on campus, so your child never has to sit their exams as a private candidate elsewhere.

What is the Cambridge Primary programme? (Years 1–6)

Our Cambridge Primary programme lays a strong foundation for young learners, building core skills in literacy, numeracy and critical thinking. A strong early foundation sets each child up for confident, independent learning through the rest of school.

What is the Cambridge Secondary programme, and what is the IGCSE? (Years 7–11)

Our Lower and Upper Secondary programme broadens subject choice and emphasises real-world application, culminating in the IGCSE. The IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is a two-year qualification for ages 14–16 that is globally recognised and equivalent to Malaysia’s SPM, and is widely accepted by universities and employers worldwide.

What are the school hours?

The school day runs from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a breakfast break in the morning and lunch in the early afternoon.

How much are the fees?

Our full Cambridge fee structure for 2026/2027 — monthly and annual plans, a founding-family rate, and a 5% rebate for annual upfront payment — is published on our Fees & Tuition page. Fees vary by year level; our admissions team can confirm the exact figures for your child.

When can my child start?

Our main academic intake begins in August, with additional new-term intakes in January and April. Availability varies by programme and year level, so please contact our admissions team for current placements.
