Role Overview
Main teacher in the ACE Homeschool programme. Responsible for student academic progress, goal setting, PACE curriculum delivery, testing, reporting, and parent communication. Oversees Teacher Monitors and maintains classroom standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide students through the ACE PACE curriculum
- Set and monitor daily goal cards
- Administer and mark PACE tests
- Prepare student progress and report cards
- Communicate with parents on progress and events
- Supervise and guide Teacher Monitors
- Manage PACE stock and ordering
1. Arrival & Opening (8:00–8:30 AM)
SV01 — Devotion (Daily)

- Prepare devotion duty roster for the term
- Prepare daily devotion materials and content
- Conduct morning devotion session with students
- Engage students with reflection or discussion
- Transition students to class time after devotion
2. Class Time
SV02 — Goal Card Setting (Daily)

- Review each student's current PACE position and pace of progress
- Set appropriate daily goals for each student on goal cards
- Ensure goals are achievable but challenging for the student's level
- Brief Teacher Monitor on any students needing extra attention
- Monitor goal completion throughout the day
- Review completed goal cards at dismissal with Teacher Monitor
SV03 — Mark Student English & Essays (Class Time)

- Collect submitted English work and essays from students
- Mark using consistent rubric or ACE standards
- Provide written feedback on the work
- Return marked work to students with guidance for improvement
- Record scores in progress tracking
SV04 — Counsel & Discipline
Frequency: as needed Approval: Principal of Homeschool (for escalations) Tools: incident record / behaviour log Coordinates with: Teacher Monitor, parents, Principal of Homeschool
- Identify behavioural concern (from own observation or Teacher Monitor report)
- Speak with student privately to understand the situation
- Apply appropriate corrective guidance
- Document the incident and action taken
- Communicate with parents if behaviour is recurring or serious
- Escalate to Principal of Homeschool if needed
- Follow up with student to monitor improvement
3. Test Time (By Event)
SV05 — Mark Test, Record Test
Frequency: as needed (per PACE test completion) Approval: Supervisor Tools: score keys / scoring device Coordinates with: Teacher Monitor
- Receive completed PACE test from student (placed by Teacher Monitor)
- Ensure student readiness was confirmed before test
- Mark PACE test using score keys
- Record student's score onto supervisor's progress card
- Determine if student passes or needs to restudy
- Return marked test to Teacher Monitor for filing
- Communicate result to student with encouragement or guidance
SV06 — Issue New Book (After Test)
Frequency: after each passed PACE test Approval: Supervisor Tools: PACE inventory Coordinates with: Teacher Monitor
- Confirm student has passed the current PACE
- Identify the next PACE in sequence for the student
- Check availability in stock
- Issue new PACE to the student
- Update student's curriculum tracker
- Brief student on the new PACE content and expectations
- Update goal card accordingly (SV02)
4. Break / Lunch
SV07 — Break & Lunch Supervision

- Ensure Teacher Monitor is supervising all students during transitions
- Maintain overall oversight and safety of students during break and lunch
- Be available for any escalated issues from Teacher Monitor
- Monitor that all students have food; contact parents if a student has none
- Use break time to check in informally with students
- Ensure smooth transition back to class time
5. Dismissal / After Dismissal
SV08 — Daily Wrap-Up (2:30–3:00 PM / Fri 1:00–1:30 PM)

- Review completed goal cards and confirm student progress for the day
- Debrief with Teacher Monitor on any unfinished duties or issues
- Contact parents if any concerns arose during the day
- Update behaviour log or progress notes as needed
- Plan adjustments for the next day (goal cards, strategies)
- Ensure classroom is tidy and ready for the next day
6. Admin & Periodic
SV09 — Supervisor Progress Card (Termly)

- Compile each student's PACE completion data for the term
- Record scores from all completed PACE tests
- Calculate progress against term targets
- Note behavioural and character development observations
- Complete progress card for each student
- Review with Principal of Homeschool if needed
- File progress cards and prepare for report card (SV10) or Family Connect (SV11)
SV10 — Prepare Student Report Card (2nd & 4th Term)
Frequency: twice yearly (2nd and 4th term) Approval: Principal of Homeschool Tools: report card template / progress data Coordinates with: Teacher Monitor
- Gather all PACE test scores and progress card data (SV09)
- Compile academic results by subject
- Write comments on student's progress, strengths, and areas for growth
- Include character and behavioural observations
- Submit draft report card to Principal of Homeschool for review
- Finalise and print report cards
- Distribute to parents at Family Connect (SV11) or via Commun
SV11 — Family Connect (End of Term)

- Schedule parent-teacher meeting slots via Commun
- Prepare discussion points for each student (progress, goals, concerns)
- Gather supporting data (progress card, report card, goal card trends)
- Conduct meetings with parents
- Document agreed action points and commitments
- Follow up on any outstanding parent concerns
- Share summary with Principal of Homeschool
SV12 — PACE Stock Projection & Order

- Review current PACE stock levels against student needs
- Project PACE requirements for the upcoming term based on student progress rates
- Account for new intake students
- Prepare order list with quantities and subject breakdown
- Submit order request to Principal of Homeschool for approval
- Coordinate with Finance for procurement
- Receive and verify delivered stock
- Update inventory records
- Submit used PACE count to Finance (termly)
SV13 — E-PACE

- Set up student access to E-PACE digital platform
- Assign digital PACEs to students as appropriate
- Monitor student progress on the platform
- Troubleshoot access or technical issues
- Record E-PACE completion alongside physical PACE tracking
7. Events
Event duties may be assigned to either Supervisor or Teacher Monitor.
HE01 — Students Convention — Supervise

- Receive event brief and student participant list
- Prepare students for convention activities
- Supervise students throughout the event
- Ensure student safety and behaviour standards
- Debrief with students and staff after event
HE02 — Students Convention — Chaperone
Frequency: yearly Approval: Principal of Homeschool Coordinates with: Teacher Monitor, Operations (Transport)
- Confirm chaperone assignment and student group
- Coordinate transport and logistics with Operations
- Accompany students to and from venue
- Maintain headcount and safety throughout
- Report any incidents to Principal of Homeschool
HE03 — Students Convention — Judges
Frequency: yearly Approval: Principal of Homeschool Coordinates with: convention organisers
- Receive judging criteria and schedule
- Attend briefing session
- Evaluate student performances or submissions fairly
- Submit scores and feedback
- Maintain confidentiality of results until announcement
HE04 — Teachers Convention
Frequency: yearly Approval: Principal of Homeschool Coordinates with: all Homeschool staff
- Receive convention schedule and registration details
- Arrange class coverage during absence
- Attend convention sessions and workshops
- Take notes on relevant learning and best practices
- Share key takeaways with team upon return
HE05 — Awards Night — Performance Preparation

- Identify students performing or receiving awards
- Plan and rehearse student performances
- Coordinate costume, props, and logistics with Events team
- Communicate schedule and requirements to parents via Commun
- Conduct final rehearsal before event
- Supervise students on the night of the event
8. Others
HO01 — Scorekey and Labels Repairs (End of Year)
Frequency: yearly Approval: Supervisor Tools: score keys / labels / repair materials Coordinates with: Teacher Monitor
- Audit all score keys for damage or wear at end of year
- Identify labels that need replacement
- Repair or replace damaged score keys and labels
- Organise and file score keys for next academic year
- Report any items needing procurement to Principal of Homeschool
HO02 — Online Classes — Stocks, Mark PTs, Scoring Facilities
Frequency: as needed (during online learning periods) Approval: Supervisor Tools: E-PACE / video conferencing / scoring device Coordinates with: Teacher Monitor, parents
- Ensure students have required PACE materials at home
- Coordinate delivery or collection of physical PACEs if needed
- Set up online class schedule and platform access
- Conduct classes and monitor student progress remotely
- Arrange PACE test submission and marking (physical or digital)
- Provide scoring facilities access or alternatives
- Maintain communication with parents on logistics
